買い物に出たついでに、２時間ほどドライブ。

途中、凍った湖の上に人が歩いているのを見かけ、

気になって行ってみました。

わっ、すごい! 

小さな池が凍ってるのは見たことあったけれど、

大きい湖が凍っている姿を

こんなに近くで見たのは初めて。

よく見ると、まわりの人たちはスケートをしていました。

氷にもスケート跡がたくさん。

水が順に凍ってるのかな、

厚い層に重なっているのが見えて、

しかも場所によっては透明度が高く、

湖の底へと吸い込まれそうで、ちょっと怖かったです。

自然のスケートリンク、

滑れるのかは謎だけど、

今度はスケート靴持参で行きたいです。

ところで最後のバブルの写真、

お母さんが赤ちゃんを抱えているみたいで好きです。

While driving towards the Rockies the other day,

we saw people walking on a lake.

That was not something we could see every day,

so we stopped there and took a look.

And holy!

The lake was frozen deep and those people we saw from our car were actually skating.

It was a breathtaking moment for us to step on the ice; 

the water was clear and we could see so many layers of ice underneath our feet.

Such a wonderful experience we were accidentally given.

By the way, I found bubbles that resembled like a mother holding her baby 

and I love it (the last photo).
