子どもの頃は４姉妹の中でもジョーがいちばんカッコいいと思っていたけれど、

今考えてみればみんな違った個性があって、それぞれ美しかった。

一歩下がってまわりを見てみると愛はいろんなところに溢れるなあと、

２０年ほど前の映画「Little Women」を久しぶりに観ていて気付いて。

こういう物語が、今の子どもたちにも愛されて欲しいなと思います。

もう一度「若草物語」の原作が読みたくなりました。

I watched "Little Women," a movie filmed almost 20 years ago, again.

Jo was my favourite when I was little,

but now I can see every girl in March Family is affectionate and beautiful.

I used to read the sequels, especially "Little Men,"  over and over,

but I now want to read Little Women once more.

As Christmas is getting closer, I think that would be a great read.

I hope children of our own time still find books like this meaningful and lovable.

Love is hidden everywhere.
